The Fayetteville Area Chapter of The Compassionate
Friends meets in Room 224 of the General Classroom
Building at Fayetteville Technical CC. See Below:
The death of a child of any age, from any cause is a
shattering experience for a family. Family members
experience many intense feelings. Grief with its ups
and downs lasts far longer than society in general
recognizes. Friends and relatives may be uncomfortable around the bereaved. They want to ease the pain but do not know how.
Where does a family turn for the emotional support they will need during the grief journey that lies ahead of them? While there is no "right way" to grieve, many parents and siblings benefit from the understanding and support of other bereaved families. It helps to share with those who have had similar experiences. Expressing grief is easier done in an atmosphere of acceptance and understanding.
